Youth Leaders
Today's youth has not known a world without AIDS. And if it's no longer news, it may no longer be alarming.
There have been nearly 48,000 estimated AIDS cases in people under the age of 25 in the U.S. Getting awareness and prevention information to youth today helps ensure the health of America's adult population in the future.
Youth leaders can:
- Initiate discussion of HIV/AIDS and how it impacts young people and their families.
- Distribute information about prevention and testing.
- Connect youth and their families with HIV/AIDS education resources.
- Encourage open dialogue on the subject of HIV/AIDS.
