Karen J. Hatcher is a member of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation and president of Pequot Health Care, a full-service health benefit administration company wholly owned by the tribe.  Ms. Hatcher is responsible for the overall management, strategic direction, and financial and operational performance of Pequot Health Care and its subsidiaries, Pequot Pharmaceutical Network (PRxN ®) and Pequot Plus Health Benefit Services.

Ms. Hatcher has over 25 years of senior organizational management experience in the public and nonprofit sector.  She has worked for the tribe since 1997, overseeing projects in accordance with Federal Indian Policy in the areas of education, health and human services, arts, cultural preservation, and housing.  Ms. Hatcher continues to be an advocate for the sovereign rights and self-determination of Native American people.
